ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotate holidays with permanent staff
• Patient ratio of 1 to 4
• 3-shift floor-specific orientation provided
• Unit features 12 beds including 2 trauma bays, 4 fast track clinic rooms (ESI 4-5), and 1 seclusion room
• Approximately 70 patients seen per day ranging from neonates to geriatrics, including minor walk-in cases to trauma
• Trauma cases will be stabilized and transported via air evacuation; pediatric cases will be transferred out
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Nurses typically perform their own lab draws
• IV team available for midlines and difficult sticks Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7
• Ventilator experience required
• 1 MD per shift with 2 mid-levels on staggered shifts
• Support staff includes paramedics, ER techs, and nurse externs per shift
• Scrub color: Hunter green pants, white top, and white jacket
• No floating required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), CPI, NIHSS, PALS (AHA), TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty and 1 travel contract required
• Strict 75-mile radius rule enforced
