CVICU RN Job in Nashville, TN

You'll work as a registered nurse in a 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a travel position with a 91-day contract starting July 13, 2026, on a 3x12 night shift schedule (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).

About the Role

You'll provide direct care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including those on ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADs. Your responsibilities include central line insertion, swan insertion, and intubations performed on the unit. You must be skilled in PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring, with preferred experience in IABP, Impella, and CRRT.

Staffing and Schedule

Patient ratios are 1:2, with 1:1 for certain device patients. You'll work two weekends per month and observe one summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day) and two winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day). A floating policy requires you to float as needed, typically to other ICUs but may include other floors.

Clinical Environment

You'll work with Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, and Alaris IV pumps. Documentation is completed using the Meditech system.

Requirements and Certifications

• Current RN licensure
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Strong critical care experience, including CVICU experience, is required

Dress Code

Black, red, or galaxy blue scrubs are required; scrub jackets or vests only.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,067 for the 91-day travel assignment.
