Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Abingdon, VA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a weekly pay rate of $2,880.

Schedule and Shift Details

• Four 10-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call requirement averaging 10 days in 6 weeks, including every third weekend
• The hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty due to census decrease

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios in the cath lab
• Float between Johnston Memorial Hospital and Bristol Regional Medical Center as needed
• Float to cath lab holding areas
• Provide care for diagnostic cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiac catheterization, and pre- and post-procedure patients

Required Experience and Credentials

• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience with charge experience mandatory
• No first-time travelers accepted
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience in diagnostic cardiac cath lab, interventional cardiac cath lab, and pre-post procedure care required

Onboarding and Requirements

• 30 hours of orientation, with 16 hours non-billable
• General orientation begins on Mondays with online CBLs
• Must complete drug testing 12–14 days prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical or religious exemptions only)
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for fit testing per CDC guidelines
• You must live 100+ miles from the facility
