RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 or 48 hours per week (must be specified on submission form)
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements
• Float on rotational basis to critical care cluster or med/surg
• Patient ratios of 3:1 or 4:1 on 26-bed unit
• 1 year Step Down/PCU experience required (inpatient only)
• Current RN license required (Missouri or eligible for Missouri licensure)
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only
• Work with equipment including Philips monitors, chest tubes, art lines, wound vacs, pacer boxes, pacing wires, drains, EKOS, Nicom, BIPAP, Airvo
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Care for patients including cardiac/thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, alcohol withdrawal, respiratory distress, insulin drips
• Dress code: Black scrubs only or Mercy-logo attire
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift and must be available entire orientation week
• Must be team player and maintain professional accountability for patient care
• Flu vaccination or Mercy approved exemption required November 1-April 1
