Respiratory Therapist Job in New Orleans, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans. This is a travel position offering 3x12 night shifts with a duration of 84 days, beginning May 11, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,917.

Role Overview

You will provide respiratory care services to adult and geriatric patient populations. You may be assigned to the Emergency Team with the expectation to remain at the facility during emergency events. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (new graduates not accepted)
• First-time travelers accepted if you hold current respiratory therapy credentials
• Current ACLS, BLS, and CRT/RRT certifications
• Valid compact or Louisiana state license in hand at time of submission
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (no local travelers)
• If previously employed as permanent staff at this facility, you must be separated for a full 1 year before returning as a travel therapist
• Two manager or supervisor references required for contract clearance

Experience and Skills

Epic charting system experience is preferred. You will participate in orientation held 5 days a week with billable modules. A strict attendance policy is in place—no call-ins are permitted.
