Operating Room RN Job in Augusta, GA

AU Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Operating Room (OR) RN to join its cardiovascular surgical team on a travel assignment. This is a 91-day position beginning May 11, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM in four 10-hour shifts
• Seven call shifts required over a 6-week period
• Weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage required
• Weekly pay: $2,530.80

Role Responsibilities

• Function as circulator or surgical technician during peak surgery hours
• Coordinate delivery of perioperative patient care and surgical suite activities
• Provide age-appropriate patient care addressing biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial and educational needs
• Function independently within a broad range of surgical specialties
• Assume some charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Maintain 12 contact hours per year for continuing education
• Participate in annual safety and infection control programs

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license (single state or compact)
• Minimum one year of Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS within 180 days of start)
• Associates in Nursing or Diploma
• Dual role capabilities in scrub and circulating preferred
