Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6; beds are capped to ensure RNs do not exceed 6 patients
• Must float to all campuses as needed for patient care
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Telemetry remote monitoring experience required
• Charge RN experience preferred
• All RNs required to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam; 2 attempts allowed
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics, primarily medical/surgical with remote telemetry capabilities
• Unit specializes in general surgical patients, pre-op and post-op care, and medical overflow excluding true cardiac
• Unit supports BiPAP and drips; CNA and Unit Secretary support available
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, heparin, high flow nasal cannula, IV insulin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, peripheral and PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and pre/post hemodialysis management
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
