PACU Nurse Job in Atlanta, GA

You will provide post-anesthesia care to patients in the recovery phase following surgical procedures. This 13-week travel nursing assignment is based at Northside Hospital Atlanta in Atlanta, GA, where you'll work in the 667A Pre Op Ground Floor unit.

Assignment Details

• Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM (5x8 schedule)
• 13-week duration, starting May 18, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,846.61

Your Role

You will deliver post-anesthesia recovery care to patients, with focus on those undergoing neurological and thoracic surgical procedures. Your responsibilities include monitoring patients as they emerge from anesthesia, assessing vital signs and neurological status, managing pain and nausea, and preparing patients for discharge to the next level of care. You will collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and the broader surgical team to ensure safe and effective recovery.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PACU nursing
• AHA BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Demonstrated experience with neuro and thoracic surgical patients

Location and Candidate Eligibility

This position is located in Atlanta, GA. Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible to apply. You must be a travel nurse willing to relocate for this assignment.
