Physical Therapist Manager Job in Bethel, AK

You will serve as Physical Therapist Manager at Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska, leading hospital-based inpatient and outpatient physical therapy operations. This is an interim/temporary duty position running 182 days, beginning May 21, 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage physical therapy clinic operations for both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Conduct skilled physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Coordinate orthopedic specialty field clinic, including referral screening and prioritization
• Support the medical team and participate in interdisciplinary care coordination
• Foster a collaborative team environment and support professional development of department staff
• Optimize department revenue and manage operational expenses
• Maintain compliance with corporate, state, and federal regulatory requirements
• Balance administrative reporting, audits, and tracking measures with direct clinic demands

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Alaska Physical Therapist license in good standing
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 4 years of active, full-time patient care experience
• Previous managerial experience preferred
• Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and professional correspondence
• Strong communication skills, including ability to work effectively with diverse populations and non-English speakers

Position Details:

You will work 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts. The role requires travel by small, non-pressurized aircraft to reach village-based care sites. You will use standard physical therapy equipment including hi-lo tables, therapeutic exercise equipment, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation modalities.

Compensation and Benefits:

Weekly pay is $3,737.60. Housing is provided, and airfare is reimbursed. The bill rate is $128.
