Respiratory Therapist Job in Savannah, GA

You'll work as a Neonatal Respiratory Therapist specializing in transport operations at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. This role focuses on providing critical respiratory care to neonates during inter-facility transport and within the NICU unit.

What You'll Do

• Manage specialized transport equipment including Hamilton ventilators, Cross Ventilators, and TXP systems
• Provide bag-mask ventilation, secure advanced airways, and assist with line placements
• Conduct point-of-care testing and demonstrate proficiency in neonatal airway management and ventilation
• Handle transport operations including isolette systems, equipment troubleshooting, and oxygen management
• Deliver critical care for conditions including RDS, MAS, PPHN, BPD, sepsis, and hemodynamic support
• Maintain clear team communication and efficient handoffs between facilities
• Understand transport physiology effects and safely operate transport isolette systems
• Follow ground and air transport safety protocols and EMS integration procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years NICU Transport experience
• Current RRT or CRT certification
• NRP and PALS certifications required; STABLE certification preferred
• Ability to maintain annual transport competencies
• Knowledge of transport physiology and neonatal critical care

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 days per week, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM shifts
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: April 13, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,708.20
• Paper documentation system utilized
• Black on black scrubs required
