ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts, days 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM or nights 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required, with potential for additional weekend shifts based on unit needs
• 1 major and 1 minor holiday required
• Up to 2 extra mandatory shifts per 6-week period
• First to float to PCU and Med Surg as needed based on census
• Self-scheduling and blocked scheduling not available; schedules based on unit needs
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for lower acuity patients in a 10-bed ICU unit
• Care for patients with diagnoses including open hearts, CHF, COPD, OD, sepsis, CVAs with TPA, DKA, and neuro cases
• Adult and pediatric patients under age 8 admitted to ICU; peds over age 8 in PCU or Med Surg unless ICU level of care required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience including cardiac experience required
• Experience with IABP, Impella, CRRT, and Day 2/Day 3 post-op CABGs required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Scrub color: Navy blue, black, or charcoal grey
• Nebraska or compact nursing license, active and in good standing required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA or ARC), BLS (AHA or ARC), NIHSS, PALS (AHA or ARC)
• Pediatric experience highly preferred
• Punctuality is expected; clock out for lunch; termination likely after 3 call-outs
