Job Details:

• Work mid shifts from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Full-time position
• On-call required 1-2 times per week and every 3rd weekend (Friday through Sunday)
• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:1
• Position is primarily based at the St. Patrick Campus performing procedures including Ortho (Mako Total knees/total hip/gamma nails), Podiatry (bunion/ankle scopes/ankle and foot fractures), Hand (fractures/CMC), Spine/Crani (ALIF/DLIF/TLIF/Kypho/Crani), General (chole/appy/hernia/colon/robotic), and Urology (TURP/cysto/stones)
• May be asked to float to the Lake Area campus which handles Pain, ENT (including pediatric), Urology, Gynecology, Podiatry, General, and some Ortho cases
• Patient population includes limited Pediatric (ortho only), Adult, and Geriatric patients
• Floating is limited to OR only between St. Patrick and Lake Area campuses
• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: BLS
• RN License in state of employment or compact required
