Emergency Room RN Job in Austin, TX

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• No on-call requirements
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• Emergency department with 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 Fast track, and 5 behavioral health beds
• Patient ratios: 1:4 Emergency Department, 1:5 Behavioral Health, 1:3 cardiac/trauma
• Work with Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 Rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers
• Use MEDITECH electronic medical record system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS
• Preferred qualifications: MEDITECH experience, trauma experience, holding inpatient experience, CPI
• Perform procedures including splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, behavioral health de-escalation, morgan lens, rapid infuser, and resuscitation
• Must be a multitasker, team player, and self-starter
• Dress code requirement: Navy blue scrubs for RNs
• Follow all established hospital policies and guidelines
