Histology Technician

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
• Minimum of 2 years of experience within specialty required
• ASCP (HT/HLT) certification required
• Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program or an Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences required
• Receive and accession specimens from surgery into Cerner
• Collect blocks from PA staff and process tissue
• Perform embedding, cutting, and staining of slides
• Work within Pathology, Cytology, and IHC department
• Must work 2 major holidays out of the following 3: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
• Must work 1 minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve
