PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Must start on 6/1
• 84 hours biweekly with 72 hour guarantee - must agree to 36/48 hour alternating schedule
• Must be agreeable to floating between Med Surg and PCU units
• Required to work weekends as needed, which may include most weekends during contract
• Block scheduling may be accommodated, but set schedules cannot be approved
• Patient ratios: 5 patients during days, 6 patients during nights
• 36 hours of orientation required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience strongly preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience strongly preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must complete lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer
• License must be in-hand before start date
• Local radius: 50 miles (local candidates not accepted)
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Extensive skills required including cardiac telemetry, central line management, blood product administration, chest tube management, IV protocols, and wound care
• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
