Job Details:

• Float between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles as required
• Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during each shift
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients
• Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team
• Initiate, utilize, and document appropriate protocols and standards of care
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and document according to policy
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care
• Assume responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards
