41101 - Travel: RN - Critical Care - NIGHTS

Opportunity:

RN - CCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• No call responsibilities
• No floating requirement
• Nurse to patient ratio: 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients
• Must have experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impellas, post-op cardiovascular surgeries, and CRRT
• Care for patients with DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, ventilators in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA
• RN License in state of employment or compact required
• One year of Critical Care experience preferred but will accept new graduates
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
• Precepted by designated trained staff member with completion of organizational entry and Critical Care Department-specific competency validation
• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers
