Med Surg RN Job in Nashville, TN

You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) on a 20-bed medical-surgical neuro unit at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting June 8, 2026, with weekly pay of $1,918.44.

Your Role

You will provide direct patient care with a 6:1 patient ratio, maintaining bedside shift reports and supporting compassionate care for patients and families. You will float as needed per unit policy, with contract labor placed first in the rotation. Expect to work two weekends (four shifts) per four-week schedule.

What You'll Use

• IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, and continuous pulse oximetry
• Feeding pumps, PCA devices, and EKG machines
• Bladder scanner and iMobile communication technology
• Meditech documentation system

Tech support is available on day and night shifts. Unit secretary coverage runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Your Skills

You must have med-surg experience with the ability to prioritize care and multitask effectively. You will start IVs, perform basic wound care, and maintain surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes. Your experience in making personal connections with patients and involving family members in care planning is essential.

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Med-surg nursing experience
• Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) required
