Opportunity:
RN - Wound Care
Job Details:
• Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Implement professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person within a caring, healing-focused environment
• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice
• Consider patient culture, age, and developmental level when designing care actions and interventions
• Identify patient risk factors, collect objective and subjective data, and obtain patient health information from family or others as necessary
• Develop and prioritize patient problem lists based on input from the inter-professional team
• Determine desired outcomes in coordination with patients and families in accordance with the medical plan of care
• Fully implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice
• Explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition appropriately
• Conduct and document ongoing assessments and responses to procedures and therapies using the nursing process
• Set priorities for the care of multiple patients and organize workload effectively relative to patient acuity
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in the performance of patient care activities
• Identify and address educational needs of patients related to prioritized problems
• Facilitate patient discharge process by executing discharge orders in a timely manner and coordinating with Case Management
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, patient falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and documentation auditing
• Promote a positive group dynamic and healing environment through words and actions
• Apply evidence-based practice, current research, and clinical decision-making incorporating all four phases of the nursing process
