Occupational Therapist

Opportunity:

OT - OT Outpatient

Job Details:

• Work in outpatient setting with primary focus on orthopedic upper extremity treatments
• Complete patient evaluations using history, observation, and subjective/objective measurements
• Develop individualized plans of care appropriate to patient's learning style and therapeutic needs
• Provide therapeutic interventions for musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, and developmental impairments
• Maintain patient records according to hospital policy including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Document progress with measurable and functional goals within departmental time guidelines
• Supervise specific treatment team operations and meet regularly with OTA to discuss patients and set goals
• Communicate with physicians and interdisciplinary medical team regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations
• Participate in professional development activities including competency training and continuing education
• Maintain CEUs for South Carolina licensure requirements
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment and maintain clean, safe work environment
• Use Epic EMR system for documentation
• Outpatient orthopedic experience highly preferred
• CHT certification not required
