Operating Room RN Job in Castro Valley, CA

Sutter Health Eden Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. You will work 5x8 day shifts with every other weekend required, managing variable schedules and on-call responsibilities as needed. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting July 27, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,946.24.

Your Role

You will plan, manage, and coordinate professional nursing care for surgical patients across General, Ortho, Vascular, Trauma, and Neuro cases. You will scrub or circulate cases while maintaining AORN standards, direct and supervise ancillary nursing personnel, and collaborate with all members of the health team. You will treat adult and geriatric patient populations and utilize the Epic charting system.

Requirements

• Valid California RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CNOR, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience; 3+ years preferred
• 1 year travel nursing experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Proficiency with laparoscopic, robotic, orthopedic, vascular, and neurosurgical procedures required

This is an OSHA Risk Category I (High Risk) position. You must be able to work with bodily fluids and substances, make fine discrimination in sound, and handle contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances including emergency or crisis situations.
