Physical Therapist Job in Monterey, CA

Join Westland House as a Physical Therapist providing patient-centered rehabilitation services across acute inpatient and skilled nursing settings. You'll work 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week, with 2 weekends per month over a 91-day assignment beginning June 2, 2026.

Your Role

• Deliver physical therapy services to diverse patient populations in both acute inpatient and SNF environments
• Support patients recovering from neurological injuries and surgeries in the acute setting
• Provide rehabilitation services to elderly patients with varied medical needs in the skilled nursing facility
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve functional outcomes and patient independence
• Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain documentation in the Epic EMR charting system

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
• Active California PT license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of neurological disorders and evidence-based rehabilitation techniques
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Strong documentation and organizational abilities

Preferred Experience

• Experience in neurological rehabilitation
• Background in acute inpatient physical therapy care
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation and SNF settings
