Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Friday through Sunday (3x12s)
• Every weekend schedule required
• No on-call requirements
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Perform computed tomography (CT) and general radiology (x-rays) including portable procedures for patients of all ages, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Ensure accurate patient positioning, prepare equipment, and monitor patient condition before, during, and after scanning
• Perform contrast injections as ordered by physician and make modifications for positioning, slice thickness, and intravenous contrast administration
• Report critical findings to appropriate personnel and assist physicians with invasive procedures as necessary
• Accurately enter data into HIS system and use RIS to capture patient visits and charge information
• Adhere to radiation safety measures and infection control policies and guidelines
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment with attention to detail in a stressful environment
• 3 years of CT technologist experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Completion of an AMA accredited Radiology Technology program required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ARRT, and Virginia state license (required for submission)
• EMR system: EPIC
