Telemetry RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning May 18, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Weekly pay: $2,213.64

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously and respond promptly to telemetry alarms
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments with accuracy and attention to detail
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in medical records
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

About the Role

You will care for patients with cardiac monitoring needs in a medical-surgical setting. Your strong assessment skills, ability to interpret telemetry strips, and responsiveness to patient needs are essential. Night shift work requires flexibility and the ability to work efficiently during lower-staffing hours while maintaining high standards of patient care.
