Medical Laboratory - Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technologist

Job Details:

• Work under the direction of the laboratory manager
• Perform laboratory tests and quality control procedures
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, and patients
• Work independently and provide direction to Medical Laboratory Assistants
• Perform testing in chemistry, blood bank, hematology, and microbiology
• Operate clinical laboratory instrumentation
• Function as a laboratory generalist across multiple departments
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required
• Must be board eligible by NCA or ASCP and complete board certification within one year
• One to three years of related experience or formal student internship required
• Certification as MT by ASCP or CLS by NCA within one year of employment
• New Employee Orientation occurs every Tuesday and Wednesday only
• Private housing not provided - all housing units are shared
• No pets allowed
• Airfare initially paid by candidate/agency and reimbursed upon arrival
• Flight itinerary must be provided one week in advance
