Respiratory Therapist Job in Hilo, HI

Hilo Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 15-week travel assignment. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM), providing direct respiratory care to patients across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage airways and provide continuous airway management support
• Operate and manage ventilators and non-invasive ventilation equipment
• Assist with physician consultations and CPR
• Perform all aspects of respiratory care and patient support
• Utilize computerized charting systems and Pyxis medication management
• Operate specialized equipment including PB 980, PB 840 Ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport Vent

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Active State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license required by assignment start date
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• PALS certification (NRP preferred)
• No first assignments accepted

• Weekly Pay: $2,181.24
• Hours are not guaranteed

Candidates who have already submitted their application for a Hawaii respiratory therapist license will be considered. Current Hawaii licensure is preferred.
