<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - ICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM<br>• 36 guaranteed hours per week for 13-week contract<br>• Must work every other weekend and holiday rotation<br>• Float between Medical-Surgical ICU and Neuro ICU units, with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed<br>• Primary patient ratio of 2:1<br>• Must be outside a 50-mile radius of facility location<br>• Optional call opportunities with 1-hour response time requirement<br>• May be placed on call during low census periods with 2-hour minimum call back<br>• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS<br>• CCRN certification preferred but not required<br>• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical and ICU experience required<br>• Must have strong neurological nursing experience<br>• EPIC charting experience preferred<br>• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor&#39;s degree preferred<br>• Any color scrubs permitted<br>• Care for patients with stroke, cerebral monitoring and drains, ventilators, drips, chest tubes, spinal drains, and some CRRT patients<br>• Handle trauma cases including logging, motorcycle, and snowmobile accidents depending on season<br>• Must be able to work independently and manage tasks efficiently</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility operates a 16-bed Medical-Surgical ICU as a Level 2 trauma center, providing comprehensive critical care services including medical and surgical neurology care, sepsis treatment, respiratory failure management, and alcohol detox services. The unit maintains clinical leadership coverage 7 days a week from 7 AM to 7 PM and utilizes a collaborative care model with CNAs and LPNs supporting registered nurses in patient care delivery.</p><p><strong>Location:</strong></p><p>Wausau, WI</p><p>Wausau offers an excellent blend of urban amenities and outdoor recreation opportunities in central Wisconsin, surrounded by beautiful forests, lakes, and rivers perfect for year-round activities.
