Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Three 12-hour holiday shifts per season required (night before and night of holiday count as holiday shifts)
• Assess, treat, and care for patients of all ages with pulmonary disorders
• Perform diagnostic testing and relevant exams
• Set up and utilize cardiopulmonary equipment and machines to assist or monitor patient breathing
• Gather data to accurately assess patient's current health status
• Observe, record, and report patient symptoms, reactions, and progress
• Administer and record prescribed medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures
• Responsible for airway management including endotracheal intubations and extubations
• Perform pulmonary hygiene, tracheostomy care, and emergency life support procedures
• Provide extensive health education to patients and general population through community services
• Associates Degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy or Respiratory Care required
• Active NBRC credential and Active NYS Respiratory Therapist license required
• 3+ years experience as Respiratory Therapist in acute care hospital setting including ED and adult critical care required
• 1+ year experience working in Level 3 NICU preferred
