Telemetry RN Job in Wilmington, NC

Novant Health Scotts Hill Medical Center Crisis Response is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Telemetry position. This is a 112-week assignment beginning June 22, 2026, working 4x12 night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM at $2,626.56 weekly.

Unit Details

• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend requirement
• No call requirement
• Float requirement to main campus (32 minutes away)
• Self-scheduling available
• 24 hours of unit orientation provided

Minimum Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS and Telemetry certifications preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Ability to work holidays; must cover 2 of 3 major holidays
• Availability to work Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events

Key Responsibilities

• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Med/Surg nursing care for adult and geriatric patients
• Blood product administration and central line blood draws
• IV management and wound care
• Chest tube and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Isolation precautions

Patient Populations

Care for patients with diagnoses including diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, CHF, renal failure, and various surgical recovery cases. Preferred skills include post-cardiac procedures, IV insulin protocols, bariatric surgery, CVA care, and previous charge experience.

• Scrubs: Navy blue or white
• Up to 7 days RTO auto-approved (non-holiday); extended time must be pre-approved
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
