Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in a mixed acuity unit with PCU, Medical-Surgical Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical patients
• Patient ratios of 1:3-5 for days and weekends, 1:3-6 for nights (adjusted by acuity)
• Block scheduling with every other weekend requirement
• Float requirement to sister units: West 2, West 3, and Observation unit
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Must have PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility (no locals accepted)
• NY license required in hand to submit
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: PALS, TCAR
• Any solid color scrubs acceptable
• Care for surgical pre and post-operative patients including ENT, general surgery, trauma surgery, and orthopedic surgery
• Handle overflow medical diagnosis patients and rare pediatric patients (only if experienced)
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, central line care, chest tubes, wound care, and various specialized procedures
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Pre-start modules required (up to 5 billable hours)
