CVICU RN Job in Nashville, TN

You will provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Cardiac Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a 91-day travel assignment working three 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Your Role

You will care for immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients with patient ratios of 1:2, and 1:1 care for patients requiring specialized device monitoring. You will work with ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVAD patients, performing advanced hemodynamic monitoring and critical interventions at the bedside. You will be expected to perform central line insertion, swan insertion, and intubations on the unit. You will float to other ICUs and floors as needed.

Schedule and Staffing Requirements

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Required to work 2 weekends per month
• Required to work 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day)
• Required to work 2 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day)

Required Experience and Certifications

• Strong critical care experience with demonstrated CVICU experience
• Advanced skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT

Equipment and Systems You Will Use

You will work with Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, and Alaris IV pumps. Documentation uses the Meditech system.

Dress Code

Black, red, or galaxy blue scrubs with scrub jackets or vests are required.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $1,918.44. Your assignment runs for 91 days, beginning July 13, 2026.
