RN - Endoscopy

Job Details:

• Day shift position working 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 2 opening shifts per month scheduled from 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities include 3 to 4 weeknight shifts per month Monday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM (13.5 hours)
• 1 Friday per month on-call from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• 1 to 2 weekend shifts per month on Saturday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM Sunday and Monday morning
• Work in a 9-bed Endoscopy Laboratory unit
• Patient ratios: intra-op team of 2 RNs per 1 patient; pre/post op 1 RN to 2 patients
• Perform and assist with procedures including EGD/Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, and EBUS
• Perform infection control, manual cleaning, and high-level disinfection of endoscopes
• Operate Olympus endoscopes and reprocessing equipment
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Support basic and interventional/therapeutic procedures on high-acuity patients with highly specialized physicians
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision and as part of an intraoperative team
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care Endoscopy RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• PACU experience preferred
• Experience with Olympus scopes and reprocessing preferred
• Endoscopy experience with circulating and tech procedures preferred
