Physical Therapist Job in Artesia, NM

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment at Artesia General Hospital in Artesia, NM. You will work a 5x8 rotating schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a closed lunch from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Weekend rotation is required—you'll cover one in every five weekends on inpatient units—and you may be asked to participate in holiday rotation.

Role Overview

You will treat 8 to 10 patients per day in a primarily hospital-based outpatient physical therapy setting with the potential to flex to the inpatient MS-Rehab unit. Your patient population spans juveniles (typically 5+) through geriatrics, with common diagnoses including total joints, back/shoulder/foot pain, and neurological conditions such as TBI, stroke, and Parkinson's disease.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive musculoskeletal assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver skilled interventions and monitor patient progress
• Educate patients and family members on their care
• Coordinate care with other healthcare providers
• Document services in compliance with standards using TruBridge - Evident

Qualifications

• Current PT State License
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient PT experience (inpatient-only experience will be considered)
• First-time travelers welcome

Onboarding

Department orientation includes 1–2 shifts with a preceptor. You will complete pre-work modules (up to 6 hours billable).

Dress Code

Business casual (collared shirt, khaki/black pants) or solid-colored scrubs.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,376. Assignment begins April 21, 2026.
