Vascular Sonographer Job in Waterloo, IA

UnityPoint – Allen Hospital is seeking a Vascular Sonographer for a 91-day travel assignment in Waterloo, IA. This role offers 3x12 night shifts with weekly pay of $2,540.16 and no on-call responsibilities.

Role Overview

You will perform an average of 15 scans per day across a general, OB/GYN, and vascular patient population. Your responsibilities include:

• Abdomen, small parts, and first, second, and third trimester OB scans (non-high-risk), including dating, measurements, biophysical profiles, and fetal anatomy imaging
• Transabdominal and transvaginal gynecologic imaging
• Upper and lower venous doppler studies
• Lower arterial doppler, ankle-brachial indices, aorta duplex, and carotid arterial doppler imaging
• Hepatic and renal doppler studies
• Assistance with fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis procedures (preferred but not required)

Weekend shifts will be scheduled as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of experience as an ultrasound technologist or sonographer
• Demonstrated experience in general and abdomen imaging
• Demonstrated experience in non-high-risk OB/GYN imaging
• Demonstrated experience in vascular imaging
• EPIC EMR experience
• ARDMS (AB) certification
• BLS (AHA or ARC) certification
• Skills checklist specific to Sonographer and/or Vascular discipline
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• ARDMS (RVT) certification
• ARDMS (OB/GYN) certification

First-time travelers are accepted provided they have 2 years of ultrasound technologist experience.
