Occupational Therapist Job in Houston, TX

HCA Houston West is seeking a Travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in our inpatient rehabilitation unit. You will deliver direct patient care in a structured, supportive environment while gaining experience across multiple therapy settings.

Role & Schedule

• Work primarily Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 day shift)
• Potential for alternating weekend scheduling
• 13-week contract with a start date of June 1, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,044

Clinical Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and deliver daily treatments to 4–6 patients per therapist
• Operate and monitor equipment including Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, rollators, NuStep systems, light gait systems, hospital beds, bed/chair alarms, oxygen tanks, pulse oximeters, and blood pressure machines
• Document patient progress using the Meditech EMR system
• May float to acute care or outpatient settings as needed to support facility operations

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapy License in the state of Texas
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
• Strong time management and interpersonal skills
• Professional dress code: standard navy blue scrubs
