CVICU RN Job in Great Falls, MT

Join Great Falls Clinic Medical Center as a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) RN on the night shift. You'll provide direct patient care in a 10-bed unit serving hemodynamically stable and predictably unstable cardiac patients, with emphasis on recent open heart recovery nursing.

What you'll do:

• Care for immediate post-operative open heart patients from day one—recent open heart recovery experience is required
• Support diverse patient populations including those recovering from PCI, pacemaker placement, revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, thoracotomy, and those with CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT, PE, and sepsis
• Operate advanced medical equipment: central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, A-lines, multiple IVs, and short-term ventilation support
• Perform basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
• Provide physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients throughout their stay
• Manage discharge planning and coordinate care from admission through discharge
• Direct and collaborate with LPNs, CNAs, housekeeping, and dietary staff
• Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision
• Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff

What you need:

• Current Montana RN licensure
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• Recent critical care experience required; CVICU and open heart experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
