ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment with 36-hour guarantee
• Travel experience required
• Must hold current New York State RN license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• MEDITECH experience required
• Must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Critical care and charge experience preferred
• Must have ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
• Possess thorough knowledge of nursing principles and ability to provide quality patient care
• Assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects
• Recognize safety issues and implement safe patient handling techniques
• Function well in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership skills with ability to prioritize and delegate
• May be required to assume charge nurse duties
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required
• Must complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation period
• Must obtain defibrillation certification within six months of employment
• Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified during orientation
• 100-mile radius rule applies
