You will work as an Electrophysiology Technician at Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting October 26, 2026.
Schedule & Pay
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- 2 days of late case coverage per week
- No on-call or weekend requirements
- No floating requirement
- Weekly pay: $2,861
Role Details
You will perform and assist with cardiac electrophysiology studies, Head-Up-Tilt tests, cardioversions, and internal loop recorder placements. Your responsibilities include assisting with atrial flutter and fibrillation ablations, supraventricular tachycardia ablations, and ventricular tachycardia ablations. You will support device implants including Watchman, Aveir, pacemakers, and defibrillators, as well as device explants and lead extractions.
The 5-room EP Lab handles an average daily caseload of 18 cases with adult and geriatric patient populations. Orientation includes approximately 20 hours of training.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of EP Lab clinical experience
- Completed minimum 1 prior travel assignment
- ACLS, BLS, and CCI RCES/RCIS certifications
- Experience with Philips X-Ray machine or Siemens X-Ray machine
- Experience with GE Micropacer
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, ablations, and EKG interpretation
- Ability to obtain vitals and interpret sinus node rhythms
- Cerner charting system proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- ARRT certification and Fluoroscopy permit
- Experience with 3D mapping systems: Biosense, Abbott/ESI, or GE/Abbott EP4
- ViewMate, Siemens, or GE Ultrasound experience
- Laser lead machine experience
- Groin closure device and peripheral line placement skills
- Laser lead extraction experience
- CardioLab charting system experience
- Prior trauma center or Children's Hospital work experience
The facility provides scrubs. You will work as an Allied Health Professional in a structured EP Lab environment.
