Job Details:

• Shift options available: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• 2 years of experience in Cytotechnology required
• Open to first-time travelers
• Required certifications: ASCP-CT
• Louisiana state license must be in hand at time of submission
• Charting system: Epic
• Required skills include: ThinPrep, ascitic fluid, esophageal, gastric, spinal, bronchial, making smears, preliminary diagnosis, staining, PAP, assisting with on-site procedures, and specimen labeling/identification
• Handle onsite FNA procedures, PAP GYN image-guided ThinPrep screening, and NON-GYN (ThinPrep, smear, and cytospin) screening
• Cytotechnologists are provided a space outside of the procedure room for FNA procedures - presence in the procedure room is not required
• All FNA procedures are physician collected and handed off to the technologist
• Work in balance with an experienced Cytotechnologist on staff
• Patients served across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Previous charge experience preferred
