About this role

IU Health Riley Hospital for Children is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work 3x12 hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement, earning $2,358.72 weekly. Start date is June 1, 2026.

Role Overview

Your primary assignment will be in L&D, with home unit placement in NICU, PICU, or Peds as determined by the facility. You will float between NICU, PICU, and Pediatrics units, and may also be assigned to IU Health North Hospital. You'll provide respiratory care to neonates, infants, and pediatric patients across multiple care settings.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years respiratory therapy experience with PICU experience
  • Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years
  • Current Indiana state license (temporary license accepted if permanent application submitted)
  • Education accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
  • ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, and NRP certifications required (NRP essential for L&D placements)
  • PALS certification preferred
  • First time travelers accepted

Clinical Skills and Experience

You must demonstrate proficiency with aerosol setups, BiPAP/CPAP, extubation, mechanical ventilation weaning, and tracheostomy care. Experience with nitric oxide administration, ABG interpretation, and pediatric critical care is required. Charting system experience with Cerner is preferred.
