Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts covering weekdays and weekends
• Patient ratio of 1:2 based on acuity; unit may have overflow patients at times warranting step-down level of care
• May occasionally float to Medical ICU or Step Down Unit
• Must have ACT (Activated Clotting Time) experience
• Must be experienced in direct fresh open-heart admissions from OR, pressure monitoring, and Swan-Ganz management
• Must be experienced in Impella monitoring and CRRT
• Required skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, CVVHD/CRRT, Impella, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, PICC line management, post cardiac surgery (directly from OR), procedural sedation administration/monitoring, sheath removal, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, TAVR, valve repair/replacement, ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD)
• Treats adult and geriatric patient populations
• Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience)
• Scrubs not provided
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• WV or Compact License required
• Blocked schedules are an option
