About this role

You will work as an RN in the Intensive Care Unit at Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in Lexington, KY. This is a 3x12 night shift position (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), with a contract duration of 89 days beginning June 29, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,273.99.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice and hospital policies
  • Collect objective and subjective patient data and identify risk factors and presenting complaints
  • Develop prioritized problem lists based on inter-professional team input
  • Design culturally appropriate interventions and determine desired outcomes with patients and families, considering patient culture, age, and developmental level
  • Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within your scope of practice
  • Explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families
  • Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition appropriately
  • Delegate tasks and oversee team members in patient care activities while monitoring accuracy and completeness
  • Provide patient and family education based on identified needs and comprehension levels
  • Facilitate the discharge process by executing orders and coordinating with Case Management
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and pressure ulcer prevention
  • Promote positive group dynamics and a healing environment

You will implement professional nursing practice centered on patient-centered care and healing environments, using a holistic perspective in all care delivery. You will actively participate in organizational values and priorities while maintaining a commitment to quality and patient safety.
