Job Details:
• Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders
• Administer various procedures as part of rehabilitation plan including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly
• Report effectiveness of treatment outcomes to supervising Occupational Therapist
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers and other service providers related to cognitive and/or physical disorders
• Document all regulatory and clinically required information in electronic documentation system
• Accurately record treatment minutes for services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Participate in facility and company required trainings, in-services and conferences
• Work with supervising Occupational Therapist to obtain necessary DME or supplies
• Supervise and support students under guidance of Occupational Therapist
• 1 year of OTA experience required
• LTC or SNF experience required
• OTA license required
• Missouri state licensure required
• New graduates accepted with Level II experience (Level I observation experience not sufficient)
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• Must adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and State required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
