Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3; must be prepared for the possibility of taking a 3rd patient
• 24-room unit with an average daily census of 19
• Every other weekend required unless specified otherwise
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Holiday coverage required: expected to work 1-2 major holidays if they fall within assignment period; if 3 major holidays fall within assignment period, traveler is expected to work 2
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed; no travel pairs regardless of unit placement
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Required skills: Care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, CVA/acute stroke management, CVVHD/CRRT, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post cardiac surgery care, post neurosurgery management, and suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Unit systems used: Pyxis, Epic, SBAR
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• General diagnoses include: ARDS, Sepsis, Stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-op complications, cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, liver failure, drug overdose, and ESRD on CRRT
• Special equipment includes: cardiac monitoring, BIS, train of four, Arctic Sun, FloTrac, and IABP
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
