Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job in Lafayette, IN

IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 4x10 day shifts earning $2,822.40 per week, starting June 30, 2026.

Role Overview

You will perform nuclear medicine procedures in adult and cardiology settings, handling radioactive materials according to strict safety and isolation protocols. Your responsibilities include conducting gastric emptying, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, 3-phase studies, whole-body bone scans, liver imaging, perfusion and ventilation/perfusion studies, and pharmacological stress tests. You will start and maintain peripheral IVs, manage radioactive material storage and disposal, and document all procedures in the Cerner charting system.

Schedule and Expectations

You will work guaranteed 40 hours per week on 8- or 10-hour shifts, with rotating on-call coverage one week at a time for after-hours and weekend support. Weekend coverage is required. You must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Floating to other units within IU Health Arnett and nearby affiliate hospitals is mandatory.

Required Qualifications

• Current BLS certification
• CNMT or NMTCB certification (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 1 year nuclear medicine experience
• First-time travelers are welcome
