Telemetry RN Job in South Charleston, WV

WVU Thomas Health – Thomas Memorial Hospital is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment in Telemetry, starting June 5, 2026. This role offers competitive weekly pay of $2,365.20 and the stability of a predictable schedule.

Schedule & Expectations

• Work 3x12-hour shifts per week (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Every other weekend requirement with set rotation (weekends 1 & 3 or weekends 2 & 4)
• Rotational holiday schedule alongside core staff
• Maintain 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 32-bed unit

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide care for respiratory diagnoses, medical conditions, and adult/geriatric populations, including non-ventilated tracheostomy patients
• Titrate drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Lasix, Dopamine, and Amiodarone
• Review telemetry strips each shift (Monitor Techs available 24/7)
• Possible cross-training for Charge Nurse role with modified patient assignment
• Float to Med-Surg units or Emergency Department as needed for boarded patients

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Current RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Med-Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care experience with tracheostomy care required
• Peritoneal Dialysis experience preferred
• Strong cardiac background preferred

Additional Details

• Two 12-hour orientation shifts with a preceptor
• Epic charting system
• BSN not required
• Navy scrubs (solid color only, no embroidery or patterns)
• Closed-toe shoes required; no Crocs
