PCU RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 89-day travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week at $2,397.60 weekly.

About the Role

You will provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Your responsibilities include:

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge planning
• Delegate tasks to support staff appropriately

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Medical Surgical/Step Down experience with ICU experience preferred
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current RN License issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients
