Registered Nurse - PACU @ Shannon Medical Center - Big Spring

<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Registered Nurse - PACU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work five 8-hour shifts with both weekend and weekday call responsibilities<br>• Call schedule shared between 2 RNs - on call Monday, Tuesday, Friday through Sunday, then Wednesday/Thursday the following week in rotating pattern<br>• Overnight and weekend call coverage required<br>• Experience recovering patients from general surgery, GI endoscopy, and post-operative procedures<br>• Care for patients across all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics<br>• Daily census of 3-5 patients in 4-room unit<br>• 24 hours of orientation provided<br>• One pre-approved time off request allowed<br>• Minimum 2 years of experience required with patient ratio experience of 1:1<br>• Epic charting system experience required<br>• Community hospital experience preferred<br>• Trauma Level II experience preferred<br>• Travel experience required<br>• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS<br>• Must be skilled in accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, conscious sedation, IV vasopressors, and pediatric patient management<br>• Experience with Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring required<br>• Local candidates within 110 mile radius not accepted</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This medical center features a comprehensive PACU department with modern recovery facilities designed to provide post-anesthesia care for surgical and procedural patients.
