ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float between Medical Surgical ICU and Neuro ICU units with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• Primary patient ratio of 2:1
• Low census permitted in hour increments, typically in 4-hour increments; up to 36 hours of low census unbillable hours eligible per contract
• Picking up call is permitted but not required; if picking up call, response time is 1 hour
• Primary procedures include stroke care, cerebral monitoring and drains, ventilators, drips, chest tubes, spinal drains, JPs, and some CRRT patients
• May encounter trauma cases including logging accidents, motorcycle accidents, and snowmobile accidents depending on season
• 16-bed Medical Surgical ICU unit at a Level 2 trauma facility
• Clinical lead on-site 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 7 days per week; CNAs and LPNs available to assist RNs
• Minimum 2 years of MedSurg and ICU experience required; strong Neuro experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS
• CCRN preferred but not required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub colors: any color
• Must be outside a 50-mile radius of facility
