Registered Nurse - Step down @ Methodist University Hospital

Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work in cardiac stepdown unit with 48 private beds equipped for bedside and telemetry monitoring
• 36 or 48-hour shifts available with schedule determined during interview process
• Patient ratios of 1:4/5 for days, nights, and weekends
• Team nursing ratios of 1:6/7
• On-call and weekend coverage required as needed
• Daily census of 32 patients in a 48-bed unit
• Provide care for patients requiring monitoring between intensive care and regular medical/surgical telemetry levels
• Float between like units and campuses within 20 miles when needed
• Must work 2 of 3 holidays if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall during assignment
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Skills required: Telemetry monitoring and IV starts
• Minimum 2 years of experience required (3+ years preferred)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• Cerner experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• All requested time off must be included at submission
